Fintiri appoints Prof Tukur DG of Adamawa Renewed Hope 226 Movement
Adamawa State Governor, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved the appointment of Professor Abdullahi Liman Tukur as Director General of the Adamawa Renewed Hope 226 Movement (ARH 226 M), a political mobilisation platform established ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, the movement is expected to coordinate grassroots political mobilisation in support of the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State and at the national level, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Fintiri congratulated Tukur on the appointment, describing him as a seasoned academic and leader with the experience required to steer the movement towards its objectives.
The governor said Professor Tukur possessed an impressive academic background, proven leadership credentials and a strong commitment to democratic principles, adding that his experience in governance, scholarship and grassroots engagement made him suitable for the role.
He expressed confidence that Tukur’s integrity, intellectual capacity and record of public service would help unite party members, stakeholders and supporters across the state in preparation for the 2027 elections.
Fintiri also charged the new director general to work closely with party leaders, youth and women groups, as well as other stakeholders, to strengthen the movement’s presence across all 21 local government areas of Adamawa State.
The governor urged members and supporters of the APC in the state to give the newly appointed director general their full cooperation and support to advance the movement’s political objectives ahead of the 2027 polls.
