Obanikoro said the unveiling would take place at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, formerly the National Arts Theatre, in Iganmu, between 3pm and 5pm.

He explained that attendance would be strictly by invitation because of limited seating capacity, while the event would be broadcast live on television and digital platforms.

According to him, Hamzat’s campaign will focus on two central principles: continuity of development and inclusive governance.

Obanikoro said the candidate intends to consolidate the development agenda initiated under President Bola Tinubu during his tenure as Lagos governor and subsequently advanced by former governors Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode, as well as the incumbent, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

“Continuity is not about doing things the same way simply because they have been done before. It is about protecting what works, correcting what needs improvement, and building on existing progress,” he said.

He added that the campaign would prioritise policies designed to ensure that residents benefit from government programmes regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender or social standing.

Highlighting Hamzat’s qualifications, Obanikoro said the deputy governor obtained a PhD in Systems Process Engineering from Cranfield University in England at 28 and previously worked with international financial institutions, including Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and Citibank.

He said Hamzat’s experience as a three-time commissioner and deputy governor had prepared him for the state’s leadership.

The campaign council also disclosed that consultations had been held with traditional rulers, religious leaders, traders, professionals, artisans and youth organisations across Lagos.

Obanikoro said digital copies of the manifesto would be available for public download after the launch.

He urged residents to examine the proposals and submit suggestions through official party channels, describing public participation as essential to shaping the state’s development priorities.
