Atiku’s son pledges 10 buses for Tinubu
Abba Atiku Abubakar, son of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, has pledged to donate 10 buses to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.
The pledge was announced during Abba’s visit to the All Progressives Congress (APC) national secretariat in Abuja on Friday, according to a statement issued by Yusi Buba, Senior Special Assistant on Youth Mobilisation to the party’s Deputy National Chairman.
“In a demonstration of his commitment to the political engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections, Hon. Abba Atiku Abubakar announced the donation of ten buses to support activities aimed at mobilising support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in 2027,” the statement said.
Abba was received by the APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Bukar Dalori, who welcomed the pledge and acknowledged his support for the party’s mobilisation activities.
According to Buba, Abba commended the APC leadership and Tinubu’s administration, expressing his commitment to the president’s second-term ambition.
The development followed Abba’s announcement of a nationwide mobilisation campaign under the Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation, a political support platform established to promote Tinubu’s re-election.
Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Friday, Abba said the organisation would begin its activities in the Federal Capital Territory before extending its operations to other parts of Nigeria.
He also unveiled plans for a two-million-person mobilisation march across the country’s six geopolitical zones, beginning in Abuja.
Abba, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC in January, has since declared his support for Tinubu’s bid for another four-year term.
His political alignment contrasts with that of his father, Atiku Abubakar, who is the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2027 election.
The pledge highlights the differing political allegiances within the Atiku family as political parties intensify preparations for the forthcoming presidential election.
The APC has yet to announce when the promised buses will be delivered or how they will be deployed for campaign activities.
