ADAMAWA 2019:‘Don’t Vote for people that will mortgage your future and the future of your unborn generation’ warns Oshiomhole
The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), His Excellency, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, has advised Nigerians not to vote for people that will mortgage their future and the future of their unborn generation of huge debt. Comrade Oshiomhole gave the suggestion for the flag-off ceremony of the party in Adamawa amid thousands of supporters who troop out en mass to cheer President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Mohammed Umar Jibrilla back to power in the forthcoming general elections.
The party chairman stated that he was excited and overwhelm with the huge crowd he saw, which according to is his first time to witnessed in his political career. Therefore, he urged the masses to replicate this by voting back President Buhari and Governor Bindow back to power to enable them continue the good job they have started for the state and nation at large
The number one member of the party took his time to educate his teeming supporters and Nigerians on the benefit of having APC at the corridors of power, noted that their achievements in less than four years of administration are unprecedented.
Consequently, he listed some of the Buhari and Bindow’s achievements to be included: massive roads construction, fight against corruption, improvement in security agricultural activities, power supply etc. Thus, he urged Nigerians that when Peoples Democratic Party come to them for campaign should ask them what they have done to the country in their last sixteen years of leadership.
The former National Labour Leader who was vividly happy with the giant developmental strides he has seen in Adamawa state, charged the people of the state to make sure the return Governor Bindow back to Dougirei house and President Buhari to Aso rock Villa because this is the only way they can show their gratitude to God and them for having them as their leaders.
He announced that because of the Governor’s social infrastructure in the state, about eleven other gubernatorial candidates who have qualified to contest the election with him, have collapse their structures to support his reelection.
In their separate remarks, the Director General of President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organization who doubles as the Honorable Minister of Transportation, His Excellency, Hon. Rotimi Ameachi and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Barr. Boss Mustapha, both commended the people of the state for coming out en mass to welcome them to the state. They charged them to vote for light in the forthcoming general elections. According to them, the forthcoming general elections will be between “rich and poor” or between “light and darkness”.
Explaining that PDP represents the rich and darkness while APC is the poor and light. Therefore, they advised Nigerians to come out en mass during the elections and vote for APC to progress to next level. Noting that “if you vote don’t go home, stop there till they count the votes in your present right from the polling unit to ward, local government and state while we will take the charge from the state to the federation,” they cautioned.
In his acceptance speech, Senator Mohammed Umar Jibrilla, said he thanked God for witnessing the historic event. He equally thanks the National Chairman of their great party for organizing a credible, fair and transparent primary election in the state.
The Governor noted that he did not suppose to waste his time campaigning for President Buhari and himself. He noted that before they came on board, the people of the state and the entire north east knows what they were passing through.
But boasted that now everybody is sleeping with his two eyes close because of President Buhari’s great achievement in the area of security, fight against corruption and improvement on economic.
While on his part, the governor noted that he has constructed roads, renovated and constructed hospitals and schools improve the agricultural activities of the state among others. Hence, he urged the people of the state to rally round President
Buhari and other candidates vying for different offices by voting them to power to complement the good work started for the state and nation at large. He assured them, if voted back to power, he will bring more great development to the state. Highlight of the event are, the presentation of flags to every candidate vying for election in the party amid entertainment by some talented Nigerian Kannywood and Nollywood such as Ali Nuhu, Rara, Danfo Driver among others.
