Armed Forces Remembrance Day: Gov Bindow Praises the Gallantry Of Nigeria Armed Forces
Governor of Adamawa State, Sen. Mohammed Umar Jibrilla, has expressed satisfaction with the professional conduct of the Nigerian military in maintaining peace, unity and protecting the territorial integrity of the country.
In a press statement by the Special Assistant to the governor on Media and Publicity, Macauley Hunohashi, to commemorate this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day, Sen. Jibrilla noted that the Nigerian military has proved its mettle as a disciplined institution that operates within the confines of her core mandate, doing the nation proud.
Sen. Jibrilla emphasised that no amount of energy, time and resource is too much in the effort to remember our fallen heroes who have paid the supreme prize to defend the nation from both internal and external aggression.
He stated that, “we in the North East region of the country, in particular, have every reason to thank the military because it is their tireless and unrelenting strive that frustrated terrorists from taking over our states”.
He commended President Muhammadu Buhari, for providing them with modern military equipment in the sustained fight against insurgency, kidnapping and armed banditry.
Sen. Jibrilla therefore called on all Nigerians to offer their moral support and prayers for the Nigerian military to succeed in her determined effort to clear the country of bad elements as well as protect her territory.
