The appointment has since generated controversies from political interest within Adamawa State especially the opposition crying wolf, with many accusing the Governor of appointing many permanent Secretaries.

Reacting to the false accusation by the opposition party in Adamawa, The Chairman Bindow Youth Vanguard, Yusuf Isah, in a statement posted on his Facebook page, said the Governor has the constitutional right to hire and fire anyone, and the constitution has not placed limitation to the number of permanent Secretary that the Governor can appoint.

Combined look at section 208. (2) C and 208. (4) Has given the Governor the prerogative right to have regard to the diversity of the people within the state and the need to promote national unity. While section 208. (5) Gives the Governor right to make appointments that please him and such appointment cease immediately he leave office.

Yusuf urged critics of the Bindow’s administration to stop turning a selective blind eye to procedures.

He cited how many interest groups from different ethnic background cry to the Governor daily alleging descrimation against their dialect and their locality.

The statement reads, “Gov. Bindow will continue to exercise his constitutional rights to hire and fire.

“The truth is that small minded people who think only in Geography and Religion will always find fault in everything Gov. Biundow does. And everything he does, he does within the boundaries of the law.

“This pettiness of turning a selective blind eye to procedures and capacity and at the same time, embracing tribal/religious sentiments and ineffectual buffoonery, is what destroyed our State

“When do we learn that it’s a battle between the haves and have-nots in our State? That it’s not between tribe and religion. The greedy thieves in the oppostion are in alliance with the disgruntle element within the media to promote fake news about Gov. Bindow’s administration. And they are all livid with rage that the Governor is reaching out to all the tribes in Adamawa State irrespective of their religious belief.

“But why do we love the man, Bindow? Gov. Bindow has the political will to override the ingrained primordial needs of the willfully deaf, the willfully blind and the willfully dumb.

“We challenge anyone that claimed that the recent Apc primary in Adamawa was rigged to approach the Court not propaganda on the pages of newspaper; none of you here as media men can cry more than the bereaved over the outcome of the recent Apc primary, the candidates that contested alongside the Governor are still alive they should go to Court and allege irregularities if they have any evidence.  We are making our position clear for the umpteenth time that the Supreme Court has given right to civil servants and permanent Secretary to be a card carrying member of a political party”.

“Gov. Bindow will continue to exercise his constitutional rights to hire and fire. The best part of why we love him is that he never gives in to intimidation and blackmail. Let the uninformed be informed that we have rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Let’s all grow above this antediluvian state of being. It expired 200 years ago.”
