March 9: Why Bindow Will Win

Over the last four years, Adamawa State has witnessed one of the most profound lifting in terms of development, peace and economic revival.

This is profound because Governor Bindow inherited a damaged developmental structure, countless abandoned projects and a moribund economy. In some instances, projects are paid for, but with nothing on ground.  The Justice Maiha Pella Road where Nyako paid billions and nothing to show for it, the laying of the foundation of faculty of Law, Adamawa State University, Mubi, without completing the project and that disappearance of 497 million naira meant for the establishment of the law faculty.

It was so bad that the failed immediate past Acting Governor, Rt. Ahamd Umar Fintiri was ashamed of his own administration.  He could not pen down a hand over note. The closest to a hand over note was Fintiri’s sadistic lamentation in 2014, where he was unceremoniously removed from office the Fedral High Court Judgement that reinstates Bala Ngillari.

The PDP government in Adamawa State said, we have no money anywhere. In Adamawa State, no money. I think Nuhu Ribadu is coming, we are waiting. He will look for money for salary; there is none. But when he pays out salary, we will see if whether they can build the schools, the roads, even to get a loan” and eventually Nuhu lost to Bindow in 2015.

The immediate past governor, Bala Ngillari was so devastated in Adamawa State that he concluded that the first term of Governor Bindow would be unproductive.  Same Bala Ngillari’s government has accused Fintiri of  embezzled state funds to the level that he was convinced that no bank would grant credit facilities  to Adamawa State.

They created a horrible environment with the unfortunate expectation that Governor Bindow would fail.

But it was for this reason that Adamawa people elected Mohammed Jibrilla Bindow in the first place.  They saw in Bindow, a workaholic, a promise keeper, a lover of Adamawa State and a courageous defender of the homeland.

Governor Bindow rolled up his sleeves and commenced a pragmatic state-wide development programme.  This is a classical entrenchment of development in all the 21 Local Government Areas of the State.

Through projects, appointments and programmes, Governor Bindow has given all sections of Adamawa State a sense of belonging.  He has developed a New Adamawa State where every ethnic nationality has been duly accommodated.

ADAMAWA CENTRAL SENATORIAL DISTRICT

This is one region where Governor Bindow has executed life changing projects to uplift the people and change their standard of living.

Projects that were left in the realm of mere promises have been executed for the benefit of the people. Millions have been lifted from the doldrums of despair and placed on the platform of economic emancipation,  with the enablement  to start their lives afresh.

The Jimeta Road that cuts through Shinko and Michika Street while linking Jambutu and Adamawa sunshine is one of such projects.  The dualization of this road has been a promise since 1960. No administration  was bold enough to actualize it. Governor Bindow flagged off this project and delivered it on record time.

The Kofare Road is one project Governor Bindow has driven to over full percent completion. The Governor has made history by linking Yolde Pate town to the rest of Adamawa State.  For this historic achievement, Governor Bindow was rewarded with the golden key to Yolde pate and many more we can’t mention in this pieces.

This is why leaders and people of Adamawa Central Senatorial District have resolved to vote Governor Wike on March 9, 2019. They re-affirmed their position during a meeting at Yola South.

He needs no introduction or advertisement.  He is a pro-people politician accepted  for his commitment to the development of Adamawa State . They love him for his dogged defence of the interest of the state and his general investments in the security of lives and property.
