Governorship election: Former Head of Service commends, Halilu, Ribadu for resolving to support Bindow

Dr Louis Mandama, former Head of Service of Adamawa has commended the opponents of Gov. Mohammed Bindow within the APC for resolving to support the party in the forth coming governorship election.
Mandama gave the commendation on Thursday in an interview with the finder news in Yola.
He said that the resolution by both Dr Mahmud Halilu and Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, who contested against Bindow during the primary election would give victory for the party.
He expressed optimism that the incumbent governor would come out victorious due to his success in the transformation of the state.
Mandama said that the achievements of the governor in the last three Yeats had given him an age over all the other candidates in the governorship race for the state.
He also expressed optimism that the voting pattern for the governorship would be different from the presidential election in the state.
He attributed the slim defeat of the APC by PDP during the presidential election to the herdsmen attacks in some communities in the state.
” The APC is sure of victory in the forth coming governorship and house of assembly elections in the state.
“This is largely due to the tremendous achievements recorded by Bindow’s administration in the area of road infrastructure, education and health sector.
” We understood that some communities voted against APC in the just concluded presidential election by a way of registering their protest against incessant herdsmen attacks in the state.
“It is a common fact that gov. Bindow has limited powers to influence security personnel, hence cannot be accused of complicity into the heinous crisis.
” Also the reconciliation between Bindow, Ribadu and Halilu is another sure way to victory for the APC’, He said.
The former head of service urged the people of the state to consider development and good governance provided the governor.
He advised the electorate to ensure peaceful conduct of the governorship election in the state.
