Breaking:Fintiri’s warning to banks responsible for April salary delay in Adamawa –Group
Mr Mapida Ikwurunyi, former Secretary Justice Frontiers, has said that Adamawa governor elect, Hon. Umaru Ahmad Fintiri warning to commercial Banks not to grant loan or overdraft to Gov. Bindow is responsible for the delay in payment of April salary by the state government.
Ikwurunyi told Journalists Saturday in Abuja that it was a normal ritual for the state government to take over overdraft every month to enable it meet the salary obligation of the State and that is why Bindow’s successor Bar. Bala Ngillari left some month’s salary arrears for Bindow to settle.
“Ordinary we won’t have joined this childish and myopic view of some individuals that Gov. Bindow refuse to pay workers salary in the month of Ramadan, how can a governor who is not indebted to any workers for over four years make u turn today not to pay April salary? A Bank source also corroborated with what Mr. Ikwurunyi told Journalists, Zenith Bank source told this news medium that the warning and several pressure from the governor elect not to give any loan to Bindow’s government is truly responsible for the delay in the payment of April salary, “no governor in Adamawa including Hon. Fintiri himself if sworn into office that can pay worker’s salary without over draft from Zenith Bank”.
