FACT-CHECK: Document shows Fintiri lied about Adamawa having five thousand schools

A claim by Adamawa state governor, Umaru Fintiri that his government plan to renovate 5000 public schools across Adamawa state is false, a fact-check by The Finder has shown.

The governor made the claims through his director general media, Solomon Kumangar in Yola while briefing Journalists on the plan by the Gov. Fintiri to renovate 5000 public schools in Adamawa state.

A fact check by this newspaper shows Adamawa state only have 2586 not the 5000 public schools as claimed by Mr. Fintiri through his spokesman, Mr. Solomon Kumangar

This is not the first time a fact-check by this newspaper will bring Gov. Fintiri to light for double speaking.

Also untrue, our findings showed then, is Mr Fintiri’s claim that Adamawa health services are in comatose under the watch of Senator Bindow. The health claim was also found to be false as Adamawa Primary health under Dr. Belel as chairman of the agency emerged number one in the whole federation and it was under the supervision of Dr. Abdullahi Belel that all the healthcare centres operates 24 hours service in Adamawa.
