Stop running Adamawa state Government like your private property: Adamawa APC warns Fintiri

  • As Senator Bindow led administration flagged off wuro jabbe and Faro roads within seven days in office as governor of Adamawa state without making noise

The Adamawa State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has cautioned Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa to stop running the state like his private estate. Alhaji Ahmed Lawal, State Organising Secretary of the party issued the warning on Saturday while speaking to newsmen in Yola.

Lawal urged the governor to adopt the standard administrative procedure in governing the state, pointing out that the state is a legal entity. He also advised the governor to constitute state executive council rather than constituting local government caretaker committees.

According to him, the constitution of a local government caretaker committee is illegal and we will sue the state government immediately. Lawal commended the Federal government for ensuring that local government henceforth have access to funds duly allocated to them. He noted that the new policy would give local government the opportunity to address some of the immediate challenges confronting local communities.

Lawal flayed Fintiri for seeking unnecessary attention by making promise when there is nothing on ground to show for his 30 days in office as governor, Lawal admonished Fintiri to copy from Senator Bindow led administration that flagged off wuro jabbe and Faro road within seven days in office as governor of Adamawa state without making the noise Fintiri is making today

“Those immediate challenges confronting local councils such as provision of boreholes, construction of drainages, procurement and distribution of fertilisers and other farm inputs would be addressed by the third tier of government,’ Lawal stated.
