Ahead of the conclusion and the announcement of the December 7th council polls results in Adamawa, pressure has continued to mount on the Adamawa state Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) to declare PDP winner of all the local council poll in Adamawa.

There were indications at the weekend that the tension in the land of beauty may get worse if all the APC candidates that was enjoying a clear lead in the poll is denied victory. A top politician from Adamawa, who spoke on condition of anonymity with THE FINDER, stated that tension is building in the state over fears of alleged plans to undemocratic ally stop ADSIEC to alter results in favour the ruling party in the state.

Our source alleged that even though some APC candidates appears to be the popular choice of their people as shown in the collated result of the council poll, the power brokers of the people’s democratic party  (PDP) were bent on taking all the chairmanship seat, which they consider strategic to the party’s future political plans.

The source said: “most of the place election took place and the collated result showed that the APC won the election in some local government.  As we speak the ADSIEC chairman is under intense pressure to alter all the results in favour of the PDP.
