Group raise alarm as Fintiri Keep Mum on 9.9bn loan acquired to build 2000 housing units for workers

Gov. Fintiri of Adamawa state has kept mum over the 9.9 billion naira loan acquired some months ago to build 2000 housing units for Adamawa workers.

Fintiri have also not informed the public if the billions of naira
acquired by his administration through bank loan to build the 2000 housing has been put to use or why the said project is yet to keep off despite the speed used by his administration to get the approval of the ADSHA to approved the loan within two hours.

The Finder report how the house of assembly approved the 9.9billion naira loan within few hours of reading the loan request and the house subsequently went ahead to approve same, despite the approval given by the assembly several months ago, one wonder what is delaying the Fintiri administration from flagging off the 2000 units projects.

Efforts by The Finder to confirm if Fintiri still remember that 9.9 billion naira was approved for 2000 units for Adamawa workers were unsuccessful as several calls made to the telephone of the Solomon Kummangar , the director general media to Gov. Fintiri were not answered.

Reacting to the sealed lips maintain  by the Fintiri’s administration over the 9.9 billion naira loan in Yola,  Ibrahim Luka, Chairman, Adamawa first initiative described the Fintiri’s administration silence over the 9.9 billion loan as ‘hypocrisy and unfortunate’’.

Luka said: “I see this as a cheap blackmail by the Fintiri’s administration. They have something to hide, which they are yet to tell Adamawa residents. I am sure at the end of the day, Adamawa voters will know what has transpired in this matter. That is why the state government are passing the buck.

“imagine the attempts made by this government in Adamawa to divert the people’s attention from the 9.9billion naira loan acquired, they gave alibi of court issues to divert attention, now after the supreme court judgement, they brought issue of white paper and also claim they want to probe Bindow, without giving update on the where about the 9.9 billion naira loan for the 2000 housing units.

“They can now see that Nigerians have started asking questions that if you’ve requested for loans for over four months ago, the ADSHA did not waste time in given approval to the loan request, only for the state government to kip silence on what happened to the 9.9billion naira loan acquired for the 2000 housing units for civil servants since July and they are yet to commence the projects, then there must be something about it. I urge people to ask questions
about this matter.
