APC Accused Adamawa NLC of complicity in the sacking of 10,000 civil servants by Fintiri.

The opposition All Progressive Congress in Adamawa State has accused the Leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress in the state for their continue silence over the sacked of 10,000 innocent civil servants by the present administration of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in the state. The State Publicity Secretary of the Party, Alhaji Abdullahi Muhammed, made the remarks in an interview with our Correspondent in Yola.

The Publicity Secretary said it is wickedness for a government that called itself a civil servants government to sack 10, ooo civil servants without recourse. He noted that the most painful aspect of it is the continued silence of the Labour leadership in Adamawa over the issue. Noting that it is despicable that Adamawa chapter of the NLC’s conscience have been bought by the present administration, if not why keeping mute over the issue?

He said “it baffle us a lot with the continued silence of Nigeria Labour Congress over the sacking of 10,000 legitimate citizens of Adamawa State who were duly employed by the previous administration of people’s Governor, Senator Mohammed Umar Jibrilla and were sacked by this present cruel and anti-peoples government of Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.”

“This act is unfortunate, wickedness and cruel. For someone to be employed and started enjoying his/her salaries just to woke up to the saddened news of his/her sack from service without concrete reasons is wickedness,” Muhammed said.

Reacting on the alleged lack of following due process during the employment, he swiftly asked which due process? “Government is a continue process so which due process are you talking about? These people are bonafide indigenes of Adamawa state and were employed by a government and this one come and sacked them so which due process are they talking about,” he demanded?

“This is anti-people and wickedness there nothing like lack of due process.” “Okay, what about the over one thousand teachers who bought employed forms, participated in all the rigorous screening and was sacked by this anti human government?

So let’s forget about this and focus on another thing, because this people lack morale right to sack these workers. It is unfortunate, for someone who has been clamouring civil servants government to turn to be anti-civil servant’s government.”

So we are calling on the state Labour leaders and relevant stakeholders to rise up to their toes to make sure these people are reinstate back to service.

Effort to get the reaction of Mr. Emmanuel Fashe, Adamawa state chapter chairman of the NLC prove abortive as calls and text messages sent to his known mobile number was not responded to before press time.
