Court reinstatement order: leader of ten thousand sacked workers in Adamawa, Faisal Baba congratulates Batch D1

The leader of the ten thousand workers sacked by Gov. Fintiri on Friday congratulated batch D1 after their victory at the industrial Court.

In a statement by Mr Faisal Baba, the leader of the 10,000 workers recently sacked by Fintiri acknowledged the role of the court in sustaining the mandate of civil servants. He urged the affected workers not to consider those that sacked them in 2014 as enemies.

The Industrial Court order the immediate reinstatement of workers reportedly sacked by Fintiri in 2014 when he was the acting governor.

According to the statement, Mr Baba commended the workers for emerging victorious and described the litigations as distractions.

“I am pleased and proud that you have successfully concluded your legal battles, and now is the time to concentrate fully on contributing your quota to the state worker force   after the distractions caused by the litigations.

“We are also appealing to the governor to tow path of peace by reinstating all the ten thousand workers he sacked on assumption of office in 2019, as we are optimistic that the court which is the last hope of a common man like us will reinstate us the way the batch D1 is reinstated today due to the order of the court.
