Covid-19: Management, Unionists and individuals donates PPE, palliatives to Adamawa state Polytechnic, Yola.

The management of Adamawa state Polytechnic, Yola, Academic staff union of Polytechnic of the state Polytechnic and individuals, has donated palliatives and Personal Protecting Equipments (PPE) to the Adamawa state Polytechnic, Yola to ease the effects of the Covid-19 on the school environment as management of the school prepare to reopen by October 12, 2020.

The Rector of the Polytechinc, Prof. Ibrahim Umar confirmed the development in a text message to our correspondent.

“We also provided thermometers, also received some individuals. Yes we did, we were only waiting for govt approval. We had our stake holders meeting. During the meeting unions agreed to contribute and contributed 1,8m, the mgt distributed sanitizers, manual operated detergent dispensers, mask to all schools, provided hand washing points at strategic locations, cleared the environment and fumigated all buildings. The union’s also provided face mask to all members. We also received donations from staff cooperative.

The Rector expressed the management’s appreciation to the donor, noting that the state government and the Polytechnic is doing its best in the fight against the pandemic. He said the donation will help school to extend palliative sharing to lecturers and students within the school community. he said
