I don’t see Any End to APC crisis in Adamawa if Sen. Aishatu Binani is not reprimanded – Bappare Mohammed
A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bappare Mohammed, has faulted the party’s approach to the alleged reconciliation meeting held in Abuja penultimate Saturday.
Mohammed Bappare, APC’s chieftain in Adamawa, said in a statement that the reason for such Abuja reconciliation meeting was baseless.
He said that most of the personalities that featured in the so-called Abuja meeting worked against the party and must be reprimanded or it will be a waste of time and energy for Adamawa APC to field any candidate come 2023.
According to the APC chieftain, it is wrong to allow those that work against the party in 2019 call for a meeting at Abuja, describing the purported Abuja meeting as a hoax and of no effect.
Bappare also called on the Governor Mai-Mala Buni-led Caretaker/Convention Working Committee of the party to convene a sincere meeting within Adamawa APC chieftain that will be held in Adamawa state not Abuja as most of those that attended the Abuja meeting were responsible for the downfall of the party in Adamawa.
He lamented that everybody in the APC is being blackmailed to accept the alleged reconciliation meeting held in Abuja as such meeting will not hold any water.
Addressing newsmen in Yola, Dr Mohammed Bappare noted that Binani’s activities are in brazen breach of the APC constitution, which all members of the party have sworn to uphold.
Bappare said that Aishatu Binani was not speaking on behalf of the APC as she claimed, adding that Aishatu’s comments and actions is the teething problems facing the party, reflect her political interest, consequently pitched her against the wider interests of the party.
“In both content and context, Aishatu Dahiru Binani’s utterances and actions constitute anti-party activities to the extent that they are causing an unnecessary distraction to the Party’s resolve to fully support the President deliver on the promises made by our great Party to the electorate,” he said.
Dr Bappare added that if APC leadership failed to take action on the issue, it means that people could do anything they wished, a situation that might bring anarchy.
According to him, “The APC has laws and those laws must be enforced to ensure discipline and the supremacy of the Party’s position in all matters.
“ It is clear that Aishatu is not only disregarding the hierarchical order of the party but has also made herself agent provocateur in the public domain by severally going against the official position of the party at the sponsorship of some disgruntled individuals who are only nominally still in the party.
“In the circumstance, the old crisis of leadership in Adamawa has continued to hunt our leaders, and everyone is forced to continue operating with the old mindset, with no end in sight.
Bappare reminds the entire APC chieftain that attends Abuja meeting to jettison any discussion held in Abuja as an election is won and lost in Adamawa, not Abuja.
