Sack Adamawa UBEC Chairman, Salihu Ateequ Now, Group Tell Governor Fintiri.

The Michika Youth association have condemned the alleged verbal attack on the district head of Michika, Ngidda Zakawa by the chairman, Adamawa state Universal Basic Education Board, Yola, Salihu Ibrahim Ateequ describing it as sacrilegious and unacceptable.

Dr Salihu Ibrahim Ateequ had during a ceremony at Michika bluntly refused to acknowledge the district of Michika by paying homage to village heads to the chagrin of  Ngidda Zakawa.

Salihu was quoted to have claimed that he is half Fulani and half them, a statement the youths tagged as an insult to the district of Michika and the entire Michika nation.

The Youths group yesterday unanimously called for the immediate sacking of the Chairman, Adamawa state universal basic education board, Dr Salihu Ateequ for disrespecting the traditional symbol of the Michika people .

Condemning the uncharitable remark against the district head, the chairman Adamawa first initiative, Ibrahim Luka who led other youths in condemnation of the alleged unpleasant comment said such outing was alien to the Michika culture.

 

Luka, who spoke yesterday in Baza, Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa state said ignoring the district head of Michika in public amounted to insulting the entire Michika nation and portraying the people in a bad light.

He said, “As illustrious sons of the Michika nation, it is only proper for anyone who has grudges with our paramount ruler to go and discuss with him in private.

You cannot go public to rain insults on him because it portrays us as people without respect for the traditional institution,” Ibrahim Luka lauded the Michika Youth Organization for promptly condemning the act and demanding a public apology from the Chairman, Adamawa state universal basic education, Salihu Ateequ.

The group prevail on Governor Ahmadu Fintiri to sack the ADSUBEB Chairman, alleging that he has brought himself odium for ignoring the district of Michika and that his action.
