The claim by the senator representing Adamawa north in the Nigerian senate that he fought to bring Gov. Fintiri of Adamawa state to power in 2019 is false, an investigation by THE FINDER has shown.

Also untrue, our findings show Mr Abbo’s claim that he is the most powerful person politically in Mubi north local government of Adamawa.

In his controversial statement, he made to the press, Abbo had, among other allegations, accused Mr Fintiri of mismanaging the PDP in Adamawa state.

But THE FINDER can report authoritatively today that Mr Abbo was economical with the truth as far as this particular 2019 governorship election is concerned as APC garner APC 31, 794 while got PDP 16, 667 in Mubi North LG and Mubi south APC garner 19,825 leaving PDP with 10,420.

With the above result from the 2019 governorship poll in Adamawa North, Ishaku Abbo has been caught in another web of lies and vainglorious boast that he brought Fintiri to power despite narrowly defeating his rival a female candidate of the APC, Senator Binta Garba in 2019.

The opposition All progressive congress defeated the PDP randomly in 2019 governorship election; even the senatorial election result shows that Abbo narrow escaped defeat from Senator Binta Garba in the two local councils of Mubi North and South local government of Adamawa.

In his statement to the press, sighted by this newspaper, Mr Abbo, contrary to what he told the press, did not indicate anywhere how he fought and brought Fintiri to power as PDP was defeated flat in Abbo’s ward and polling units of Muchalla”.

CONCLUSION: Mr Abbo’s statement to the press does not support his claim that he fought for Fintiri in 2019 by ensuring his former the PDP emerged victorious in 2019 governorship polls.
