Again, the senator representing Adamawa north in the Nigerian Senate, Ishaku Abbo has been cautioned against the antics of some politicians who are urging him to join the race for 2023 gubernatorial race.
The warning is coming from Barde Tumba, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who warned the sex toy senator to be wary of the people he Abbo called “grand fraud” in APC who are visiting and giving him false hope ahead of 2023 general elections.
Some APC chieftain had met Ishaku in his Abuja residence prior to his defection.
Though the reason for the visit was unknown; but it was not unconnected to the rumoured gubernatorial ambition of Ishaku Abbo in 2023.
But Tumba, while responding to questions Saturday night, said the APC chieftain was only there to deceive Abbo.
He said, “They were there on their own. Nobody sent them. They are busy body party members. They abandoned the business of giving PDP opposition in Adamawa state and be chasing shadows.
“Who told them Abbo will win any election again in Adamawa? And who told them we are in shortage of candidates in APC? At the appointed time they shall be shocked by the arrays of capable personalities that would indicate interest in 2023.”
Tumba said the APC members knew what they were doing, stressing that they would soon dump Abbo when the chips are down.
“Mark today’s date I know that those people will soon dump him. They all have their ambitions and interests in their pockets, yet, they will not allow Abbo to rest.
“If he wants any dignity to remain with him, he should just retire and watch from the background. He has tried by defeating a woman in 2019. That’s a great achievement.
Abbo let himself to be disgraced himself by running for 2023 because he can’t even win any election in his Muchulla ward in Mubi north.
“Abbo should know that the senate president cannot vote in Adamawa as I believe that he decamp to APC so that his sex toy shop we will be swept under the carpet by the senate leadership, Let Abbo know this and save himself of the embarrassment,” Tumba added.
