ADSU Promotes former Vice Chancellor, Zaruwa and 14 others to Professorial cadre

The Adamawa State University, Mubi (ADSU) has promoted a former Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Moses Zaruwa and fourteen others to professor and associate professors, the university’s official bulletin stated.

The bulletin was made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Mubi. According to the bulletin, the promotion was considered and approved by the University’s Governing Council at its 93rd statutory meeting.

This was announced in a statement by the head of Information and Protocol Unit of the university, Mr Benson Belmont.

According to him, all the promotions were approved by the governing council of the university at its 93rd statutory meeting.

He said the promotion cuts across departments and units of the university and levels of officers.

The Senate of the Adamawa State University mubi (ADSU) has officially announced the promotion of Fifteen (15) Members of staff to PROFESSORIAL cadre. The promotions consist of four (4) Full Professors and eleven (11) Associate Professors following the receipt of favourable external assessment report endorsed by the Senate of the University.

 

The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Senate and Vice-Chancellor Prof Kaletapwa George Farauta on the Floor of the senate at its 93rd Meeting held on Tuesday 12th January 2021 in the Senate Chamber located in the Boni Haruna Administrative building

 

Speaking shortly after making the announcement, Prof Farauta admonished the newly promoted to see the elevation as a call to greater service. She charged them to give leadership at their various Faculties and Departments and urged them to raise leaders because the hallmark of a good leader is to raise capable hands that will continue the good work when they eventually leave the stage

 

Professor Farauta further reiterated the readiness of Management to raise competent leaders at all strata of the University. She called on everyone to be committed to duty especially against the backdrop of the Covid-19 lockdown and recent ASUU Strike.

 

She concluded by Congratulating the newly promoted and wished every member of the senate a prosperous year 2021

  5. Dr Yonanna Ezekiel promoted to rank of Associate professor(Reader)
  6. Dr Peter M. Jonah promoted to rank of Associate Professor (Reader)
  7. Dr Comfort Yusuf Sankem  promoted to rank of Associate Professor (Reader)
  8. Dr Filgona Joel promoted to rank of Associate Professor (Reader)
  9. Dr Shinggu Danbaki Yamta promoted to rank of Associate Professor (Reader)
  10. Dr Aliyu Alhaji Jibrilla promoted to rank of Associate Professor (Reader)
  11. Dr Ezekiel Tagwi Williams promoted to rank of Associate Professor (Reader)
  12. Dr Itodo John Itodo promoted to rank of Associate Professor (Reader)
  13. Dr Japhet E. Yerima promoted to rank of Associate Professor (Reader)
