Breaking: Reckless comment: Dauda Saidu Apologises, Begs Tukur, Aminu for Forgiveness
The staunch support of Gov. Fintiri of Adamawa state, Saidu Dauda alias “Dan Maliki Madagali”, has apologised to a former PDP national chairman, Prof. Jibril Aminu and the People’s Democratic Party in Adamawa (PDP), following a viral video in which Dauda Saidu was seen ridiculing a former PDP national chairman, Bamanga Mohammed Tukur (BMT) and a former Senator, Prof. Jibril Aminu.
He made an apology at a press briefing at the state PDP headquarters in Yola.
The PDP party stalwart, close to tears at the briefing, asked for forgiveness, saying it is not in his character to insult an elder statesman like Bamanga Tukur and Prof. Jibril Aminu.
Dauda Saidu was spotted in a viral video during the launching of the PDP zonal party office in Mubi, ridiculing a former national chairperson of the PDP, Bamanga Tukur and a former senator representing Adamawa central in the sixth assembly, Prof. Jibril Aminu saying that despite their status none of the duos was able to get their son to win election into the office of the governor Adamawa state.
In contrast, Fintiri, a son of a farmer, emerged as governor of the state which the son of Messrs Tukur and Aminu currently works under him.
The viral video immediately sparked outrage, with many Nigerians calling for his expulsion from the PDP and calling on the governor to halt whatever responsibility of the state to bestow on him.
