Fintiri reshuffles cabinet

Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa has approved the partial dissolution of the Adamawa State Executive Council.

 

The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Humwashi Wonosikou, made this known in a statement on Friday in Yola.

 

He stated that other Commissioners retain their portfolios.

 

The affected commissioners are Sanusi Farouk Jauro who until now was Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development.

 

He moves to Special Duties, Mohammed Umar moves from Local Government Affairs to Ministry of Land and Survey, while Ibrahim Mijinyawa replaces him at the Ministry of Local Government Affairs.

 

Others are Alloysious Babadoke, who moves from Special Duties to Youth and Sports Development. Umar Daware and Dr Dishi Khobe are to swap positions, with Umar Daware taking over the Ministry of Agriculture.

 

In contrast, Dr Dishi Khobe takes over the Ministry of Tertiary and Professional Education as Commissioner.

 

He said the partial dissolution of the state council would take immediate effect, and the affected council are to hand over to their Permanent Secretaries or most Senior director as the case may be.

 

The CPS quoted the governor as expressing profound appreciation to some council members affected by the reshuflement and wishing them well in their new ministries.
