Adamawa PDP holds peaceful Congress, returns former executives

The Adamawa State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has taken to the path of peace in its just-concluded Congress.

The Congress returned 14 members of the outgoing state executive for a second term.

The affirmative election was led by the chairman of the Congressional Committee for Adamawa, Gov. Duoye Diri of Bayelsa state.

Speaking on the development, Diri praised the maturity and unity displayed by party members and stakeholders in Adamawa and urged them to continue uniting as a family to take the state to greater heights.

In his remarks, Governor Umaru Fintiri called for lasting unity and assured that his administration would continue to work for a more united party in the state.

He thanked members and stakeholders for the demonstration of zeal to see that PDP remains a home for all, particularly in the state.

Speaking on behalf of the re-elected leaders, party chairman AT Shehu thanked members for the confidence shown in them and assured them that they would not disappoint the party.
