Don’t mistake APC delegates to Adamawa electorates, Fintiri’s aide replies SGF, Mustapha, Binani.
The Director General media to Governor Fintiri of Adamawa state, Solomon Kumangar on Monday, slammed the secretary to Federal government, SGF, Boss Mustapha and the gubernatorial candidate of the APC, Aishatu Binani for what it called “delusional day dreaming” over recent comment credited to Messrs. Mustapha and Binani that the governor should prepare his handover note.
According to a statement signed by the Director general media to the Governor, Solomon Kumangar, the governor’s aide insisted that the SGF should not mistake Adamawa electorates to APC delegates that were severally induced with hard currency to sell their conscience to nominate the current APC candidate in Adamawa.
The statement was titled “Adamawa APC and the highest bidder takes all primary.”
It read in part, “We are aware of the latest statement from the so-called ‘APC leaders in Adamawa.’
“We wish to reassure the APC candidate and the SGF, that no matter their shenanigans no APC candidate that can with stand the colossus of defeat that awaits them in 2023 as no amount of dollars pump into the general election that can buy the conscience of Adamawa people as it was in the case of the delegates that were recently bought over.
“It is a delusional arrogance for anyone to suggest that the governor that has redefine governance in Adamawa should prepare his handover notes.
“Who gave them the right to ask the governor to prepare his handover note? for the umpteen time the APC candidate that will defeat the governor must come from the moon”
It said while any group can refer to itself as “APC leaders”, the people of Adamawa will not recognise it as such as the highly monetized primary of the APC will be totally different from the general election next year.”
The statement further noted that the SGF has never contested for elective office and so his statement of quit notice should be treated with levity.
Therefore, “money cannot not exacerbate divisions amongst Adamawa electorates as the case of APC delegates.
