Breaking: Appeal Court Upholds Aishatu Binani’s governorship Candidacy.

The Court of Appeal in Yola on Thursday dismissed an appeal by Nuhu Ribadu and confirmed the Gubernatorial candidacy of Aishatu Dahiru.

Nuhu Ribadu, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in Adamawa State, recently challenged Aishatu Dahiru’s emergence as the Adamawa state APC governorship candidate, following a primary election held on May 26th, 2022.

A Federal High Court sitting in Yola had in October, nullify the primary which produce Aishatu Dahiru as a candidate of the APC in Adamawa, however, the Court of Appeal in its judgement today set aside the High Court’s decision and all its orders.

The Appellate Court also held that the High Court was wrong when it upheld Nuhu Ribadu’s affidavit to declare the governorship primary election of the APC in Adamawa as a flaw.

The court in Yola proceeded to grant all the reliefs sought by Aishatu Binani and the APC in the trial court.
