Fintiri was not in an accident—Kumangar

Kumangar, a spokesman for Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, said that he was not in a car accident on his way to Mubi on Wednesday for his rally.

In a tweet, Mr. Kumangar was responding to news reports that Mr. Fintiri was in a car accident on his way to Mubi on Wednesday for his next-to-last campaign event.

In a tweet, he made it clear that the governor’s convoy was not in a car accident and that his convoy took the survivors to the hospital before going to Mubi.

“On his way to campaign in Mubi on Wednesday, the governor’s convoy came across a car accident involving hunters who went as an advance team to Mubi before the ugly incident in Hong local government. “He stopped to help, and he made sure the victim was taken to the hospital with the governor’s convoy ambulance,” he tweeted.

“Upon arrival in Mubi, the governor immediately reduces his schedule activities and returns to Yola to express condolences to the families of the deceased as well as the families of the accident survivors,” he explained.

Mr. Kumangar said the governor was on his way to flag off the campaign in some local governments in Adamawa’s  northern senatorial districts.
