Pray for the education minister to bring succour to the sector’s challenges. -Boss Mustapha
Nigerians have been urged to pray for the new Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, to bring relief and progress to the troubled education system by Boss Mustapha, the country’s former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
Mustapha offered the guidance on Monday, at a celebration of Mamman hosted by Abuja’s Adamawa community.
He claims that there are several issues plaguing the educational system.
The outgoing SGF voiced confidence in Mammano’s ability to restructure the industry quickly, and praised him for volunteering to serve the country.
There is a prophetic significance to the actions we are taking now. Prof. Mamman is a dedicated and patriotic Nigerian gentleman.
It is not the time to critique him, but to pray for him and give him advise to succeed, he added, since “this is a public trust and Mamman requires us to uphold him with prayers so that he will take the right decision that will bring improvement and succour to the turbulence in the sector.”
In a same spirit, the head of the NDLEA, retired Brigadier General Mohammed Buba Marwa, has praised the minister for rising to the task of education.
Marwa prayed that the new pastor would be blessed with God’s wisdom and protection.
Mamman has been in the field of education before. We are confident in his ability to succeed despite the difficulties he will undoubtedly face.
We ask God to bless his leadership and keep him safe so that he might accomplish all he sets out to do,” he stated.
Alhaji Abdulrahman Kwoccham, the event’s organiser, praised Mamman’s promotion to minister, saying it was good news for Adamawa and the country.
Kwoccham, calling unity the foundation of sustained development, praised the people of Adamawa for their backing of the minister.
As a response, Prof. Mamman, the Minister of Education, pledged to revolutionise the field in order to realise the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s government.
By God’s grace, we plan to get things done, and Nigerians will see a change while we’re in office.
We are well aware of the ministry’s importance. Lawyers, physicians, and engineers are all products of the ministry. He remarked, “If we can get this right, it will be for our own good.”
