Governor Inuwa has outlawed Gala Houses’ in Gombe State
Nightclubs and prostitution have been outlawed by Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, Ismaila Uba Missili, Director General of Press Affairs at the Government House in Gombe, issued the directive on behalf of Inuwa. Along Mile Three Road and the neighbouring areas, especially in the capital, Inuwa outlawed nightclub activities including nocturnal trade and street prostitution.

All “Gala Houses” in the state have been ordered closed immediately by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON.
Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, secretary to the state government, announced the ban, saying it was in response to repeated public complaints about illegal and immoral behaviour and security lapses at nightclubs.
Consequently, the Governor has issued an order to the Nigeria Police, the Nigeria Civil Defence Corps, and Operation Hattara to deploy men to carry out the instruction and enforce strict compliance.
Jami’a Gidan Wanka, located at Mile 3 Yola Road, Gombe; White House Theatre (Babban Gida), located at New Mile 3 Yola Road, Gombe; Gidan Lokaci General Merchant, located at Mile 3 Reservoir Road; and Farin Gida Entertainment II, located at Wuro Karal, Kalshingi Road, Gombe; are all Gala Houses that have been affected.
Gala Houses is in Kuri Town, Lubo village, and Kurba village in Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area; Gidan Zamani Entertainment is on New Mile 3 of Yola Road in Tumfure, Gombe; Albarka Entertainment is on the bypass near Hara Form in Gombe; and so on.
Gala House in Bajoga Town, Funakaye Local Government Area, and Tauraren Wash at Caravan Park, Bauchi Road, Gombe, are also in the path of the mudslide.
