Tinubu: Nigerians aren’t lazy and there’s no reason they should be poor.

Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his dedication to improving the country, saying that his countrymen are hardworking but that there is no good reason for Nigeria to be poor.

On Thursday, Tinubu made this statement at the State House in Abuja while hosting a 62-member delegation that included prominent members of both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Stakeholders in the oil-rich state of Rivers are grateful to Tinubu for his appointment of Wike and other natives of Rivers.

We are not a slothful bunch. Our resources are plentiful. Being decent neighbours and looking out for one another is all that is required of us. I am not a President who makes excuses,” Ajuri Ngelale, the president’s spokesman, was quoted as saying.

For the benefit of all Nigerians, I pledge to work diligently for the good of our country with focus, resolve, and enthusiasm. We have no justification for poverty. We are charging headlong ahead without turning around.

It’s possible that we’ll be going against the current today. We’ll be pushed forward from behind by the waves, though. The aspirations of our ancestors will become a reality thanks to our efforts. The people of this country I now represent are an inspiration to me,” the ex-governor of Lagos State said.

The president of Nigeria has promised that his administration will make good on its campaign pledges.

I lead the country and am its top salesman. President Tinubu emphasised the urgency of reversing the current trajectory and realising potential outcomes in a relatively short time frame. There are great expectations from our people. I promise to put forth my best effort, and I ask God to guide me so that I do not let down my fellow Nigerians.

Wike (middle) is the current minister of the FCT and a former governor of Rivers State.
In addition, Tinubu promised that the East-West Road connecting the Port Harcourt Refinery will be a priority for his administration.

He said that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike is a reliable advisor who will investigate the situation further and take swift action.

He said, “The Honourable Minister, Wike, is not just the Minister of FCT; he is also my adviser and an admirer of mine.” He’s gotten off to a great start, and the government should back him up.
