EFCC tells auctioneers to be honest and responsible.
Ola Olukoyede, Chairman of the EFCC, has directed auctioneers in the country to act with integrity, fairness, and accountability when disposing of assets.
According to EFCC spokesperson, Mr. Dele Oyewale, Olukoyede stated this while receiving a delegation from the National Association of Auctioneers (NAA) in Abuja on Monday.
Olukoyede advised auctioneers to always follow the existing norms and maintain the moral high ground in order to provide greater service to the nation.
“Probity, justice, and accountability are the basic ideals that guide our work at the commission. As a result, I believe we are on the same page in the fight against corruption,” he stated.
He stated that the visit demonstrated a positive relationship between the commission and the group, and that he expected the relationship to continue.
“We are devoted to your success, and we can work together to make Nigeria a better place for everyone.
“We have up to 18 individuals of your group working with us to dispose of assets forfeited to the authorities. “And they are doing excellently well,” he stated.
In his remarks, NAA President Alhaji Musa Abubakar stated that the purpose of the visit was to congratulate the commission’s chairman and secretary on their new posts.
“We are here to demonstrate our unflinching support to the new leadership of the commission in order to maintain the strong working synergy with the commission for a better nation,” he said.
