State Appointment: Youths Appeal to Fintiri to Maintain Status Quo for Michika Politicians.

The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has being urged to reward the same politicians who were assigned responsibility from Michika during his first tenure.

The Finder reports the Michika local government handed Governor Fintiri 30% of the vote in the 2023 governorship election.

The youths, under the aegis of Michika Youths of Adamawa (MYON), reminded the governor that he has a track record of not betraying anyone who worked for him in the past.

They were optimistic that the governor would return the politicians they were appointed in his first four years in office.

They also thanked the governor for reappointing Bashir Suleiman as chairman of the Adamawa state primary health care agency for his final term.

“Despite having deputy governorship aspirants from the All Progressives Congress in the 2023 general election, Michika local government laid a golden egg for the governor.”

They spoke to media at a press conference in Mubi in support of their local political leaders.

The Michika Youths said they were shocked, surprised, and outraged when they heard in the news that some political exposed person from Michika said there was an anti-party against the governor from our area.

Tizhe Ussa, the group’s coordinator, told journalists that Michika is the only local government that is unified in support of Governor Fintiri’s re-election bid.

“The Finiri project was delivered by all of our leaders, including Hon. Adamu Kamale, Hon. Dauda Nyampa, Hon. Stephen Maduwa (Ubandoma Michika), ESV Thomas Madi, Dr. Ateequ Salihi, and Bashir Suleiman, who put everything on the line to oppose the manipulation of Hudu in Michika local government.”

The young leader cautioned the governor not to let sycophants deceive him, as the 2027 election is more crucial than the 2023 one.

“We tell the governor that the Michika local government’s support for him stemmed from our opinion that the governor is a man who thinks that political loyalty must be reciprocated with political fidelity.

“We do not know the governor as a use-and-dump leader; thus, we want to urge Governor Fintiri not to let any politicians from Michika to dupe him into believing that there was an anti-party in our local government.”
