Governor Fintiri Proclaims three Days of Mourning for Two Prominent Adamawa Sons.
In memory of Ibrahim Lamorde, a former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, and Ganye State Constituency member Musa Abdumalik, who passed away in India while Lamorde was in Egypt recovering from surgery, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has declared a three-day period of mourning.
Flags of the state were also ordered to be flown at half mast by Governor Fintiri.
This was announced in a Monday statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor, Humwashi Wonosoiku.

Declaring a Time of Mourning After the Death of Two Adamawa Sons In memory of the recently deceased former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Lamorde, and the late Member representing Ganye Constituency, Musa Abdulmalik, the Adamawa State Government has established a three-day period of mourning.
Prayer and sadness are observed from Monday, May 27 to Wednesday, May 29 of 2024. “I and all the people of the state are deeply saddened by the passing of these illustrations, sons of Adamawa,” Governor Fintiri stated.
Ibrahim Lamorde was a beloved police officer and anti-corruption campaigner, and we grieve his loss very greatly.
I am sure that the state and a great number of people nationwide will grieve the death of the late Musa Abdulmalik, an accomplished legislator, as much as I do.
