God, not El-Rufai, will determine 2027 – Mamman.

Alhaji Sadiq Mamman, Kaduna State’s Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, has stated that former Governor Nasir El-Rufai cannot decide what would happen in 2027; only God can.

He also condemned El-Rufai’s comments about Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He advised El-Rufai to avoid Kaduna, stating that “God will decide who wins the Governorship and Presidential election in 2027”.

Mamman Lagos talked to journalists as Kaduna State’s 255 councillors approved President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani for a second term in 2027.

“We must set the record straight by reminding all who care to listen that our good and amiable Governor had never at any time interfered with the running of the state in the previous administration.”

“He focused on introducing and passing measures in partnership with his Senate colleagues and constituents to improve people’s lives. We see no reason why he should be distracted at this moment by someone who believes he has the authority to make or break people.”

“Go round and see for yourselves how Governor Uba Sani has succeeded in reversing virtually all the unpopular and various anti masses policies of his predecessor who rode to power on the goodwill of the people and sacrifices made by grassroots politicians such as Uba Sani…”

“Governor Sani has exceeded even the opposition’s hopes, as they consider him as the leader needed at this moment to unite the people and restore the state’s lost glory. “He has successfully addressed all aspects of governance…”

“Confiscated or demolished properties have been returned to their owners, high tuition fees charged by the previous administration have been reversed, traditional rulers deposed, got back their thrones.”

“There have been massive infrastructural developments cutting across all the three Senatorial Zones, correcting the hitherto impression of the APC as government of a particular segment.”

“We would want to take this occasion to urge this guy and his co-travelers, if any, to refrain from making more inflammatory and empty threats as if he holds the key to political success in the next election. The electorate will chose who to pitch their tents with, and he can be counted on to have compassion and a sensitive heart for the people,” he stated.

Early on, the Councillors stated that there will be no vacancies in the Presidential Villa Abuja or the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Kaduna Government House by 2027.

Muhammad Sani Badiko, who spoke to journalists on behalf of the 255 councillors, connected their support for Governor Uba Sani to significant infrastructure developments that “are unprecedented in the history of Kaduna state”.

“We give the Governor good marks for rural development, economic recovery, education, and healthcare positive intervention programs that promote growth and innovation. We will mobilise grassroots support for the Governor’s reelection in 2027, and we urge all political actors to sheath their swords and wait until after 2031,” they stated.
