Governor Fintiri appoints Malabu Executive Secretary, Adamawa Investment Promotion Agency.
The Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has authorised the Adamawa Investment Promotion and Public-Private Partnership Coordinating Unit’s conversion into the Adamawa Investment Promotion Agency (ADIPA).
The governor’s chief press secretary, Humwashi Wonosoiku, stated that the transformation aligns with the current administration’s commitment to fostering economic growth, attracting investments, and ensuring sustainable development across the state.
The upgrade follows the passage of the Adamawa Investment Promotion Agency Law 2024, which the governor signed on December 4, 2024.
The establishment of ADIPA provides a strong legal foundation for efficiently implementing investment policies, making Adamawa a more appealing destination for investors.
According to the statement, the governor has chosen Halilu Malabu as executive secretary of ADIPA, tasked with pushing the state’s investment program.
The Governor congratulates Mr. Malabu on his appointment and is confident in his ability to use his extensive experience to re-establish Adamawa as a business-friendly state.
“Transforming our investment promotion unit into a full-fledged agency is a significant step towards unlocking Adamawa State’s economic potential.
I urge the incoming Executive Secretary to use his skills to ensure that ADIPA fosters effective collaborations, attracts investment, and promotes economic development,” Governor Fintiri added.
The government encourages all stakeholders, including the business sector, development partners, and investors, to work with ADIPA to capitalise on the state’s enormous economic prospects.
