Eid-el-Maulud: Governor Fintiri Urges Muslims to Embrace Prophet Muhammad’s Virtues
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has extended heartfelt greetings to Muslims in the state and across Nigeria as they mark the celebration of Eid-el-Maulud, which commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, Governor Fintiri congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion and encouraged the faithful to reflect on and embody the noble virtues of the Prophet — particularly peace, compassion, humility, and selflessness.
“May this celebration bring peace, happiness, and blessings to all,” the Governor said. “As we reflect on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), especially those centered on tolerance, sacrifice, and peaceful coexistence, let us strive to live by his example and work together for a better future for our state and our country.”
Governor Fintiri also called on citizens to support his administration’s vision, which he described as focused on transformative governance and improving the lives of the people.
He urged the Muslim community to use the spiritual significance of Eid-el-Maulud as an opportunity to pray for lasting peace, unity, and progress in Nigeria.
“May Allah continue to guide us towards peace, unity, and prosperity. Happy Eid-el-Maulud,” the Governor concluded.
