FG Sets Uniform Prices for Renewed Hope Housing Units
ABUJA, Nigeria (AP) — The Federal Government has approved uniform sale prices for housing units under its Renewed Hope Estate Programme across all states, as part of efforts to make homeownership more affordable and equitable for Nigerians.
In a statement on Thursday, the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Badamasi Haiba, said a one-bedroom semi-detached bungalow will cost ₦8.5 million, a two-bedroom ₦11.5 million, and a three-bedroom ₦12.5 million.
Haiba said the decision to adopt uniform pricing is aimed at promoting affordability, transparency, and fairness, ensuring equal access to the Renewed Hope Housing Programme nationwide.
Housing Minister Ahmed Dangiwa said priority for allocation will go to low- and middle-income earners, civil servants, private-sector employees with verifiable income, and Nigerians in the diaspora seeking to own homes in the country.
Permanent Secretary Shuaib Belgore added that multiple payment options are available to enhance affordability, including outright payment, mortgage, rent-to-own, and installment plans.
The ministry said the sale of completed housing units across the northern and southern regions will commence soon.
