Fintiri celebrates Marwa at 73
Adamawa State governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has congratulated the chairman and chief executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa (retd), on his 73rd birthday.
In a statement by the chief press secretary to the governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, Fintiri described Marwa as a distinguished soldier, an illustrious son of Adamawa State and a national asset whose record of public service continues to inspire generations.
“As a retired brigadier general and former military governor, his leadership qualities, discipline and patriotism have left indelible marks on Adamawa State and Nigeria,” the governor said.
He commended Marwa’s commitment to the growth and development of the state and the country, particularly his leadership of the renewed campaign against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
Fintiri said Marwa’s courage, integrity and results-driven leadership had repositioned the NDLEA and renewed hope in Nigeria’s efforts to build a drug-free society.
The governor prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to grant the NDLEA chairman good health, strength and wisdom as he serves Nigeria with distinction.
“I join his family, friends and well-wishers in celebrating this great icon of our state and nation. Happy 73rd birthday,” Fintiri said.
