FINTIRI IS NOT READY FOR GOVERNANCE- BINDOW’S AIDE

Martins Dickson, media aide of the immediate past Governor of Adamawa State, Jibrilla Bindow has flayed Gov. Fintiri of Adamawa state over his continuous attack on his principal, in a statement sent to The Finder via his email, Martins said.

“It is becoming increasingly tiring on how the Adamawa State Government has shifted its focus on blaming Bindow for their inability to be effective since taken over Governance.  When the Bindow led administration took over there were last minute employments but Senator Muhammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow did not waste energy on why the employments came late but rather focused on adding value to the betterment of Adamawa citizens and him truly added value.

The over 100 tractors provided to boost Agriculture, steady provision of farm implements, 394 roads constructed, schools renovated, ongoing hospital construction and renovations are all very tangible and glaring. We expected this administration to channel its energy in adding to all these and more rather than wasting precious time trying to play dirty.

Permit me to say here that the Bindow led administration flagged off the construction of Gumpti-Challawa-Hammanyero road less than one month after taking oath of office and the Labondo – Borrong rural road 14 days after taking office and it has been series of constructions cutting across 17 Local Government areas in the state untill the 29th of May 2019.

It is baffling how the Fintiri led Government in Adamawa State is using its first 40 days in office to criticize the Bindow led administration instead of proving to Adamawa people that it has the capacity to provide the dividends of democracy.  From the Governor, to the state party chairman, the Director General on Media down to social media recruits it has all been Bindow this Bindow that since they took over as a Government.

It will soon be the traditional 100 days in office and ADAMAWA people will begin to demand tangible dividends. I listened to the Director of Media and Communications of the Adamawa State Governor in an interview on Fombina FM on Thursday 18th July, 2019, where he used some of the precious time given to him to dwell on what he thinks (Not true anyway) the Bindow administration did wrong instead of telling Adamawa people what successes they’ve achieved in the last 49 days in office.

Lacking what to talk about, the Fintiri led Government and those in its employ has resorted to unnecessary and unfounded blame game rather than serving the people of the state.  Over flogging the employment issue in the state is not what Fintiri was voted to do (the election victory is still been contested in the tribunal though), it seems they don’t have any other issue on the table except that Adamawa indigenes were employed by Bindow.

The Fintiri led Government cannot even maintain the street lights provided by the Bindow administration to enhance security in the state capital talkless of expanding it to other parts of the city.  Despite the construction of 394 roads in Bindow’s 4 years in office there are other parts of the state that needs road and other infrastructure, why not focus on providing these needed infrastructure instead of chasing shadows?

The construction of a brand new hospital in Numan by the Bindow led administration has reached over 80% completion why is the Fintiri led Government not focusing on completing it?  The Bindow administration in its preparedness to focus on education in its second term has begun with the renovation of some major secondary schools in the state why not improve on it instead of sacking teachers employed to teach in some of these schools?

Under the sustainable development goals(SDG) the Bindow led administration constructed 49 primary schools and provided student and teachers desks in 7 Local Government areas of

  • Guyuk
  • Shelleng
  • Numan
  • Demsa
  • Toungo
  • Ganye and
  • Yola South

For the Universal Basic Education (UBE) under Bindow, it has constructed and renovated over 200 blocks of classrooms and provided teachers desks and chairs, student’s desks, computers, in various primary schools across the state. The records are available at the state UBE office.

since the Fintiri led Government has taken it upon itself as a task to dwell on finding reasons to sack those legitimately employed as the major reason why he is in the Dougirei Government House, he should quietly fish out those he claimed are not qualified to be employed in the state and make it public instead of this tiring rhetoric of due process in media outlets, it is now been likened to the sound of a broken record.

We have said it over and over, if the Adamawa state Government finds anyone wanting, follow laid down provisions enshrined in our laws and do the needful by sanctioning those found wanting instead of running to the media at every given chance to talk and talk only.

The Government can adopt corrective stance where it is convinced it’s necessary while still advancing solutions to the various needs anticipated.  These baseless rhetorics will never diminish the achievements of the Bindow administration in the last four years.  At the end of this administration’s tenure what will be counted is how much infrastructure and good services the Government has provided and not how effectively it has criticized its predecessors.

Adamawa citizens deserve infrastructure, and good services just as the Bindow led administration provided for the people of
