Don’t Cajole Adamawa people with RAMP 2 and non-asphalted roads; Apc to Fintiri

* He noted that the media aide to the governor was misled into issuing statements on rural access road which unknown to him is just pouring of late-rite and untarred roads.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State said the government of Governor Umaru Ahmad Fintiri has no reason to celebrate rural access and mobility project road in Adamawa as the so called road is not worth issuing a press statement about as done by Solomon Kummangar, media aide to Gov. Fintiri.

The Party declared that Fintiri administration should “bury its head in shame” as its government was characterized by anti-masses policies and empty promises of payment of minimum wage which has not been fulfilled up till date.

The Organising Secretary of the Party, Ahmed Lawal, made these comments during a press statement issued to journalists in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.

Mr. Lawal criticized and accused Governor Fintiri of deceiving people with cosmetic projects.

“Gov. Fintiri and his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have no reason to celebrate their several month’s years of rudderless leadership in government,” he declared.

He noted that the media aide to the governor was misled into issuing statements on rural access road which unknown to him is just pouring of laterite and untarred road.

“It is unfortunate that the government of the PDP in Adamawa has condescend so low as to celebrate road that is just pouring of laterite and grading by world bank, why the APC led government in Adamawa was celebrating over 40 tarred roads within 100 days in office, we woke up to meet Fintiri led government issuing statement on Ramp2 access road in the state.

This is a government that is characterised by six months of non-payment of salaries to over 5000 workers all in the name of screening, the total neglect of workers welfare i.e non implementation of promotion upgrade across all the ministries, unwarranted retrenchment, infrastructural decay, economic depression, and backwardness in our dear land of beauty,” Mr. Lawal claimed.

The Party’s publicist argued that the tenure of the embattled governor Fintiri has brought hardship to the residents of the State with dilapidated infrastructures and bad road intercity network due to total neglect since Bindow left office.

“Adamawa State being the richest State in the north-east, has nothing to show for all this money collected from FAAC since May 2019.

“What our dear Governor Fintiri is good at is collection of loans all over the places and sacking of workers he promised to give priority to during campaign period,” Mr. Lawal said.

“I want the whole state to know that it was Bindow that paid the counterpart funding for the Ramp2 project been publicised by Fintiri’s administration, two, Ramp2 roads are just access road not tarred road, why tarred roads are handle by the state ministry for works, Ramp2 roads are handle by ministry for rural development which means it is just grading and pouring of red sands on rural road not normal tarred roads as done by APC government of Bindow in Adamawa state.

“I insist that Fintiri government has nothing on ground to showcase hence they resulted to issuing press statement on RAMP2 road.

Mr. Lawal concluded that Mr. Fintiri’s few accomplishments were not worth the billions if naira collected from FACC since he assumed office.

Editor’s note: we are expecting reaction from Solomon Kummangar, Media aide to Gov. Fintiri
