Controversy as Another Fintiri’s media aide flaunts non-existent projects as his principal’s achievements in Adamawa

Social media aide to Adamawa state Governor, Muhammad Tukur, has listed non-existent projects and post-election promises that are yet to be fulfilled by his principal as achievements recorded in ten months of Fintiri’s administration as governor of the state.

Tukur on Tuesday post a photo of pamphlets tagged as “count down 2 days to the leadership award” listed post-election promises of building flyover bridge in Jimeta, Building of 2000 hostel capacity in ADSU, Mubi, flagging off of 2000 controversial housing units, construction of mini stadium as achievements he caption “COUNT 2 DAYS TO THE LEADERSHIP GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR” in Adamawa implying that the photos came from achievements recorded by Fintiri as governor since inauguration last May.

The image which has garnered 19 shares and 166 likes has been crosschecked as false by The Finder Fact Check.

While the post has garnered multiple comments, we have found most of the purported achievements credited to Fintiri by his media to be recycled, false and miscontextualised.”

Having reverse-searched the achievements listed by Tukur, we found that there is currently no sign of flyover bridge in Jimeta, same apply to ADSU 2000 hostel capacity, mini stadium, 200 kilometre of roads as posted by Fintiri’s aide.

What is certain, however, is that there is no flyover in Adamawa for now, no 200 kilometres of roads anywhere as the only capital road project embarked on by the Fintiri led state government is Bachure road within the metropolis which is not up to 15 kilometres.

This is not the first time Fintiri media aides will be laying and posting images misrepresentative of facts.  Two days ago, another media aide to Fintiri, Love Zidon was caught red handed by The Finder fact checkers when he posted the Federal government housing units in Gombe and Jigawa state and credited same glory to his principal’s achievements.

Fact check show that most of the achievements credited to Fintiri by his aides are false, according to THE FINDER, Gov. Fintiri has made over a thousand promises and 1566 false claims since he assumed office as the governor of the state.
