A member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa state and supporter of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, Engr. Benson Phillip on Saturday launched an attack on those praising the governor for appointing an elder statesman, the pioneer chairman of the people’s democratic party in Adamawa state, Chief Joel Madaki as an adviser .
A pro-democracy activist, Benson Philip fired back at Mr. Fintiri in a statement send to THE FINDER Saturday night, raising concerns that the failure of the governor for one year in office might be taking a serious toll on his ability to the alacrity that comes with modern governance.
Several commentators rebuked Mr. Fintiri specifically for his alleged incompetence, tardiness by given a common adviser to “Baba Joel” in his government; the group describe the appointment as an insult to Baba Joel and the entire people of Fufore, as the group urged Gov. Fintiri to withdraw the appointment and apologise to Chief Joel Madaki immediately.
The group admonish Fintiri to treat Chief Joel as an elder statesman that deserves respect from all Adamawa sons and daughters, as Baba Joel is a living legend when it comes to politics in Adamawa and Nigeria.
