Adamawa electorates are not APC delegates, Group tells Binani.
The Adamawa Awareness Movement (AAM) has asked the All Progressives Congress candidate for governor in Adamawa, Aishatu Dahiru, not to waste her energy trying to get votes from the people of Adamawa, since APC delegates and the people of Adamawa are from different groups.
In a statement signed by the AAM’s Chairman, Muhammed Bala, and given to reporters in Yola, the group said that Binani’s statement didn’t make sense and only added to the lies she told during the rigged APC primary election. They also said that Adamawa’s enemies had carefully changed Fintiri’s promise to take the state to new heights.
“The Adamawa Awareness Movement wishes to state unequivocally that the statement made by Binani at the APC rally is laced with falsehood and self-aggrandisement as no Adamawa worker has complained of gratuity in the past three years and no worker has been held kobo.
Leaders of thoughts in APC have described the candidature of the Binani as a provocative joke taken too far.
“The AAM knows that Binani hasn’t been able to make peace with other party members so far, as the battle royale between the SWC of the party is still going on.”
We are also not unaware of the seeming loss of popularity suffered by Aishatu Dahiru in Adamawa State on a daily basis as a result of the cash-and-carry politics being brandished by her.
“We urge Aishatu Binani and her supporters to sheath their swords and focus on resurrecting a party that has already died, leaving only a dollar mope from the APC primary.”
Bala says that Fintiri sees everyone as Adamawa first, no matter what language, tribe, or religion they speak. This is why the phrase “our Adamawa, our future” is used carefully and on purpose.
