Indepedence: Taraba governor tells Muslims, Christians to pray for Nigeria’s prosperity, unity.
In honour of the Independence Day celebration, Taraba State Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas has asked the Muslim Council and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to organise prayers at mosques and churches across the state today, September 29, 2023, and again on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
In a staement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Yusuf Sanda, Dr. Agbu Kefas extended his best wishes to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the people of Nigeria, and the people of Taraba for the 63rd anniversary of Nigeria’s independence.
The governor also prayed for the unity and development of Tarabans and the country as a whole, and he asked Tarabans to keep the peace in the state.
He argued that the current administration’s goals and objectives, which aim to alter the country for the better, require sober consideration, sacrifices, and support from Nigerians.
To wrap up, the Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to vigorously pursuing programmes pertaining to education, agriculture, health, rural development, youth and women’s inclusion, and the protection of the lives and property of all citizens.
