Nigeria @64: Light on sight shortly – Fintiri
Governor Fintiri Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, thanked Nigerians on the country’s 64th independence day, recognising the hardships it endured on its path to nationhood.
In an Independence statement released by his principal press secretary, Humwashi Wonosiku, Fintiri stated that, despite these challenges, Nigeria has made great progress, particularly since returning to democracy 24 years ago. Fintiri highlights the importance of self-reflection and communal responsibility in addressing the country’s problems.
He emphasises that success requires accepting responsibility for one’s actions and rejecting the victim mindset. “Some of these flaws are within our control to address, but we will only succeed if we are brave and honest enough to accept responsibility for our actions and reject the expedient attitude of playing the victim and blaming others.
“Fintiri reassures that his administration is committed to leaving no one behind and ensuring that every Adamawa citizen benefits from these efforts.”I applaud you all for achieving this milestone, overcoming obstacles, and recovering dignity via democracy.
Although 64 years is a short time for a country, we have had enough time to make substantial changes. Unfortunately, unpatriotic actions and injustice have hampered our growth. We must embrace responsibility while rejecting victimisation.
My administration will continue to empower Adamawa inhabitants through human capital development and infrastructural improvements, thereby growing the economy and improving living conditions.
Governor Fintiri reacted on the country’s current hardships, saying, “I see hope in Nigeria’s future.” Let us work together to provide good governance and democratic dividends.”
As Nigeria commemorates its 64th year of independence, Governor Fintiri says the government’s new thinking serves as a reminder of the country’s potential for growth and development.
“Let us unite in supporting the government’s initiatives and work together towards a brighter future.” The governor commends the state’s security agencies for their tireless efforts to ensure peace and order.
He goes on to say that his administration’s peace programs are intended to foster civic unity and understanding. He implored the people not to jeopardise the hard-won calm.
