Tinubu is Nigeria’s Messiah, says Representative Member.

Hon. Leke Abejide, a member of the House of Representatives for the Yagba Federal Constituency, said on Wednesday that President Bola Tinubu is the messiah Nigeria needs.

Abejide, believes Tinubu’s government has the potential to improve the country’s situation.

“By the time we reach 2026, the world will have witnessed this country, and everyone will be celebrating the president.” He is the messiah that Nigeria requires right now, and he can repair Nigeria,” the congressman stated.

The member criticised President Muhammadu Buhari’s government for handling the country’s economy, which he described as in disarray.

He said that everything fell completely down, blaming the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) under Godwin Emefiele for printing too much money.

Abejide, an African Democratic Congress (ADC) member, believes Tinubu would lead the country out of the quagmire.

Did you find it easy to obtain N1,000 at the end of the previous administration? You are aware of the CBN’s printing capabilities. How can the economy continue to function in such conditions? Who would take you seriously?

“Everything is getting better. Over time, we will resolve the currency rate problem. He continued: “It is better to face reality than to hide.”

During the broadcast, Abejide spoke on President Tinubu’s contentious tax reform plan, claiming that it will help reduce the federal government’s borrowings.

The structure of this tax bill suggests a drop in Nigeria’s borrowing levels in the near future.

“We won’t be borrowing money to finance the budget as much as we are now, and we can finance infrastructure,” he informed us.

The proposals have aroused suspicions in certain places, with Northern Governors opposing them, claiming they will shortchange several states of the federation.

Last Thursday, the Senate passed the tax reform measures on second reading and submitted them to the Senate Committee on Finance, chaired by Niger East Senator Sani Musa, for further legislative action, including a public hearing.

Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, also asked the committee to invite the National Economic Council (NEC), the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), and civil society organisations to the public hearing.
