Oyebanji’s re-election reflects public confidence – Fintiri

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has congratulated Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on his re-election for a second term as governor of Ekiti State.

In a statement issued on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, Fintiri described Oyebanji’s victory as well deserved, saying the governor had demonstrated purposeful leadership, people-centred governance and tangible developmental achievements during his first term in office.

“On behalf of the Government and good people of Adamawa State, I extend my warmest congratulations to my brother, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, on his resounding re-election. This mandate is a clear testament to the trust and confidence the people of Ekiti have in your capacity to continue delivering the dividends of democracy,” Fintiri said.

The Adamawa governor commended Oyebanji’s commitment to inclusive governance, peace and development, adding that his renewed mandate would further strengthen democratic governance and consolidate the gains recorded in Ekiti State over the past four years.

Fintiri also expressed optimism that Oyebanji’s second term would foster stronger collaboration among states and contribute to efforts aimed at building a more prosperous Nigeria.

Looking ahead to the next electoral cycle, the governor prayed for peaceful and credible polls across the country.

“As we look ahead, I pray for a successful and peaceful 2027 general elections in Nigeria. May God grant our nation the wisdom to choose leaders who will continue to unite us, secure our future, and uphold the ideals of democracy,” he said.

Fintiri wished Oyebanji a successful second term marked by wisdom, strength and more landmark achievements for the people of Ekiti State.
