Gombe Governor commiserates with CBN Deputy Governor, Edward L. Adamu over mother’s death
Gombe state Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has commiserated with Mr. Edward L. Adamu, Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria ( Corporate Services) over the demise of his mother, Mama Laraba Adamu Yola who died yesterday in Gombe at the age of 90 years.
In a condolence message, the Governor described the death of Mama Laraba as a great loss not only to her immediate family but to the entire state.
He said the deceased was an upright woman who put a distinguished carreer in education and rose through the ranks to the position of a headmistress.
Governor Yahaya said the late nonagenarian was a family pillar who lived an exemplary life and impacted positively on the lives of her children, family and the community.
Governor Yahaya, on behalf of the Government and people of Gombe state, extended his heartfelt condolences to Mr. Edward Adamu and his siblings, Prof. Nana Tanko, Pastor Yakubu Adamu as well as other members of the family over the great loss, praying Almighty God to comfort them and grant the deceased eternal rest.
