Legacy: Fintiri’s aide, Victor Dogo, to conduct one-day seminar to improve sustainability.
To bring attention to the significance of upholding the policies, programmes, and legacies of Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Mobilisation has planned a one-day seminar.
The programme, which is sure to be revolutionary due to its originality, inventiveness, and perceptive aim, will take place on July 20, 2024, at Yola’s Government House Banquet Hall.
Hon. Victor Dogo (Ph.D.), PSA to the Governor on Social Mobilisation, told our Yola-based reporter that the initiative aims to teach the people of the state the importance of continuing Governor Fintiri’s work and making initiatives, programmes, and policies more resilient through teamwork.
“The seminar promises to explore innovative approaches to preserving Governor Fintiri’s legacy by ensuring the preservation and protection of projects, programs, and policies, as well as enshrining community participation in sustainable development for the benefit of all stakeholders,” said the governor.
According to Dogo, they will investigate how non-state actors may work together to carry on the programmes started by the governor and even improve upon them.
In order to ensure the continued success of Governor Fintiri’s initiatives, they have pledged to forge alliances with non-state entities such as community organisations, private sector organisations, and NGOs.
Consequently, he stated, “Our mission is that we want the people to personalize the government’s policies and programmes because they’re designed for their betterment and, therefore, should take them as their own.”
Eminent academics will cover the following topics in robust talks at the event: It will be about “The Role of Non-State Actors in Sustainable Development: Opportunities and Collaborations.”
